I have already cut some chamfers to the top of the bores to clear the valves. Here I am testing the valve seals with some white spirit.

Building the test stand June 2010 - Converting my DIY engine trolley into a test rig suitable to run this engine with carbs and SC.

This shot also shows the replacment starter motor won on e-bay and canister oil filter housing...The alternator and distributor are spares from my main/5BRG MGB Engine following upgrades.
Building the test stand I built the test rig onto the engine whilst it was fitted to the engine stand..A pair of axle stands help to take some of the weight.

SCB-22-02-2014
Big Jump to Feb 2014 - Still lots to update on the web site but no4 cyl went down on route to Race Retro today & I would like to say a big thank you to everyone that stopped to ask if I needed any help and special thanks to the MG Midget owner who helped to push the B to the nearest layby and to Jez the AA man who towed me home. Great guy and great service!...

No4-Piston-Melted-22-02-04 With the head off it looks like no4 Piston has melted. The bore looks OK just a few minor scratches that should hone out. Quite a strip down needed to get this done and the target is to be up and running for the Silverstone Track Day with MGOT on the 17th of March..
